Leadership

Compound Bridge is a small and deliberately senior firm. The executives below are the people who attend the client's steering committee and who carry the engagement. More than 150 combined years of enterprise technology and infrastructure leadership, across four continents.

Thomas Lee

Thomas Lee

Chief Technology Officer

Twenty-five years across EMEA, Africa and North America, including building and running a sovereign cloud platform from first principles.

Thomas leads the technical and commercial strategy for Compound Bridge's infrastructure practice. He architects and operates bespoke AI cloud platforms on OpenStack and Kubernetes, designs the high-performance networking and storage fabrics that data-intensive training and inference require, and holds the direct technical alignment with NVIDIA and AMD that keeps our architecture silicon-agnostic. He recruited and leads the specialist team of infrastructure technologists, AI engineers and project managers who execute it.

As Chief Executive of a South African cloud provider he took a sovereign cloud from concept to commercial platform. He implemented OpenStack as the foundation, built the recurring revenue model, formed partnerships with two national telecommunications operators, and grew the client base beyond seventy.

At a global IoT platform business he scaled solution engineering from three people to forty across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and several African markets. At a national mobile operator he led the Converged Solutions IoT business against an annual target above R500 million. He holds certifications across eleven distinct technologies.
